Douglas Wade Reeves, 73, of Lefors, died April 3, 2016 in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at Memorial Heights Cemetery in Lefors, with Rev. Ken Houston, pastor of First Baptist Church of Lefors, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Reeves was born June 13, 1942 in Borger. He married Karen Sue Cumberledge on July 22, 1962 in Lefors. He worked for Nabors Oil & Gas, later Getty Oil, and finally Texaco, retiring as a supervisor in 1997 after 37 years of service. After his retirement, Douglas worked as a consultant for P&P and Linn Energies. He also delivered tanks for WW Fiberglass. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Lefors. Douglas was an Eagle Scout and a two-time Golden Gloves State champion. Survivors include his wife, Karen Reeves of the home; a son, Buddy Wayne Reeves and wife Katherine of Lefors; a daughter, Tracy L. Armstrong and husband Ralph of Lefors; two sisters, Nancy McDaniel of Ada, Oklahoma, and Brenda Humphrey of Coalgate, Oklahoma; three granddaughters, Kaittlynne Porter of Amarillo, and Sierra Reeves and Phoenyx Armstrong, both of Lefors; five grandsons, Richard Kidwell, Gage Zeek, Travus Zeek, Michael Reeves, and Michael Armstrong, all of Lefors; two great granddaughters, Zaria Zeek and Sayge Zeek, both of Lefors; and a great grandson, Bentley Kidwell of Lefors. Douglas was preceded in death by a son, Dane Reeves; a grandson, Johnathan Reeves; and three sisters, Merle Smithers, Charlene Wright and Sandra Reagan.
