Richard “Dick” Kastein, 85, of Pampa, died April 9, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Nancy Ruff, parish associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Kastein was born June 20, 1930 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1955. Dick married Helen McClelland on September 11, 1970 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on October 8, 2014. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, a longtime member of the Pampa Lions Club, and a member of the American Registry of X-Ray Technologists. Dick worked at Highland General Hospital, Pampa Regional Medical Center, Family Medicine Center and the Jordan Prison Unit for over 40 years, retiring in 2010. He spent many hours volunteering at Pampa Regional Medical Center, Coronado Healthcare Center, Pampa Meals on Wheels, Good Samaritan Christian Services and Logos with First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed playing golf, where he shot a hole-in-one in 1970 in Waupun, Wisconsin, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Survivors include a daughter, Pam Dinsdale of Tualatin, Oregon; two sons, Sam McClelland of Los Angeles, California, and Randy McClelland and wife Vickie of Pampa; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren.
