Jeri Lou Bentley Blodgett, 76, of White Deer, died Friday, May 6, 2016, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at First Baptist Church in White Deer with Rev. Dr. Jerry R. Lane, pastor of United Methodist Church in White Deer, and Fr.Scott Raef, pastor of St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Blodgett was born Nov. 22, 1939 in Shamrock to Paul and Mildred Beach Bentley, and she attended Shamrock schools. She married Raymond Blodgett on Aug. 27, 1973 in Farwell. He preceded her in death on April 4, 2007. Jeri had been a resident of White Deer since 1969. She was a licensed vocational nurse and worked at the White Deer school cafeteria, North Plains Hospital in Borger, and for Dr. Davis. She was a travel agent and managed Omni Travel for many years. She enjoyed helping her husband on their farm and was an avid bowler for several years. Jeri was a member of United Methodist Church in White Deer, White Deer Senior Citizens Center, Daughters of the Pioneers, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for many years. She was an accomplished quilter and porcelain painter, and was proud of holding the record at the Shamrock Hospital for being 10.8 pounds and 26" long when she was born. She was a world traveler and loved her trips to Las Vegas. She loved spending time with her grandchildren playing cards and board games. Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Petty and husband Wade, of White Deer; a son, Kevin Blodgett and wife Lanya of White Deer; two sisters, Pauline Sutterfield of Amarillo and Gayle McKay and husband John of Avery, Wisconsin; a brother, Mack Bentley and wife Sue of Wheeler; a sister-in-law, Monica Bentley of Alamogordo, New Mexico; nine grandchildren, Kristi Storts, Traci Williams, Amy Padilla, Suni Salinas, Cassie Cone, Parker Petty, Ashly Corona, Kyler Blodgett, and Kelli Blodgett; and four great grandchildren, Cooper and Charli Cone, and Hope and Luke Salinas; and special friends, Henry and Joyce Bynum, Tracy and Karla Kotara, and her Mississippi family. Jeri was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Kathy Ginn and Vicki Earles, a son, Jon Earles, a brother, Eddie Bentley, and a grandson, Jeremy Blodgett.
