Evelyn Vanderpool, 81, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died May 5, 2016 in Albuquerque. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors in Pampa, Texas, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church in Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Ms. Vanderpool was born January 3, 1935 in Leslie, Arkansas. She was a 1953 graduate of McLean High School in McLean, Texas, and attended Amarillo College in Amarillo, Texas. She worked for the U. S. Government in building management for over 35 years in Denver, New Orleans and Albuquerque. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Charles Welch of the home; and two sisters, Marie Hassler of Amarillo, and Clessie Ferris of Pampa. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Kimbrell in 1941; a brother Cleo Kimbrell in 1988; a sister, Leota Smithee in 1992; and brother, Clifford Kimbrell in 2007.
