Mary Gething Jones

Mary Gething Jones, 91, of Pampa, died May 1, 2016 in Pampa. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Jones was born May 18, 1924 in Gray County on the Gething Ranch in the dugout her grandparents built. Mary married Clifford Jones on July 27, 1965 in Vancouver, Canada. He preceded her in death in 1996. Survivors include her brother, W. E. “Bill” Gething of Pampa; two nephews, Mark Edward Gething and wife Marna and William Grant Gething and wife Joyce, all of Pampa; a great nephew, Jacob Grant Gething of Pampa; a stepdaughter, Patricia Teed of Austin; five grandchildren, Annette Lilly James and husband Jesse of Pampa, Jeff Frazier and wife Mandi of Burbank, California, Janette Lilly Blanks and husband Peter of San Francisco, California, Brad Lilly and wife Heidi of Burbank, California, and Sheri Mallash and husband Steve of Woodland Hills, California; eight great grandchildren, Jessica James, ShelbyAnn James, Tristan James, Emma Frazier, Aiden Frazier, Phoebe Blanks, Ella Blanks and Addison Lilly; and a great grandchild, Kinsley Horst. Mary was preceded in death by two sons, John William Lilly and George Edward Lilly; and a sister-in-law, Grace Gething.
