Phyllis Nadine Ringo Kitchens, 83, of Pampa, died May 11, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, May 16, 2016, at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Kitchens was born April 24, 1933 in Horton, Kansas. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1950. Phyllis married Nelson Daniel Kitchens on June 8, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 20, 2001. She worked at Kmart and WalMart for over 20 years. Phyllis was a longtime member of Briarwood Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends, working crossword puzzles, crocheting and talking about Jesus. She traveled to Mission during the winter for many years where she made numerous friends. Survivors include five sons, Nelson Kitchens, Jr. and wife Johnnie Lynn of Odessa, Randall E. Kitchens and wife Audrey of Elk Mound, Wisconsin, Darrell W. Kitchens and wife LeeAnn and David C. Kitchens, all of Pampa, and Russell G. Kitchens and wife Terri of Joplin, Missouri; two sisters, Evelyn Roberson and husband Ted of Lubbock, and Ruth Ann James of Cleveland, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Ringo; a sister, Mary Mitchell; and a granddaughter, Amy Lynn Kitchens. Memorials may be made to Briarwood Church, 1800 W.
