Benita Albear, 69, of Pampa, died May 12, 2016, in Pampa, Rosary will be at 6:00 PM Friday, May 13, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, and funeral mass will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St.Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Rev. Roy Kafula, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Albear was born October 30, 1946 in Roaring Springs. She attended schools in Paducah. After school she moved to Pampa where she met George Albear, Sr. and they married on October 8, 1971 in Pampa, where they made their permanent residence. She was a homemaker, but when she could, she loved to help her husband at C & G Painting and Sandblasting. Benita loved to crochet. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Survivors include her husband, George Albear, Sr., of the home; four daughters, Sally Lawyer, Angela Rivera, Valeria Johnston and Rose Diaz, all of Pampa; two sons, Sixto Albear and George Albear, Jr., both of Pampa; four sisters, Sara Ramirez of Edinburg, Ramona Rodriguez of Rockford, Illinois, Francis Rodriguez of Pampa, and Natalia Albear of Amarillo and two brothers, John Galaviz of Pampa, and Ramon Galaviz of Waterford, California; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Benita was preceded in death by her parents, Felipe Aguilar Galaviz and Benita Guerra Galaviz; three sisters, Josephina Bustamante, Rafaela Garcia and Pauline Velasquez; a brother, Guadalupe Galaviz; and a grandson, Erik Drake Johnston.
