Malcolm "Mac" Connell

Malcolm “Mac” Connell, 74, of Pottsboro, died May 16, 2016, in Denison. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 21, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Lefors, with Rev. Ken Houston, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Connell was born January 7, 1942 in Pampa. He married Helen Ruth Greene on November 9, 1978 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on November 5, 2015. He had been a resident of Pottsboro since 2003, moving from Lefors. He retired from Celanese Corporation as an operator in 2002. Malcolm was a former member of First Baptist Church in Lefors. He loved to hunt and fish. Survivors include a daughter, Tess Harden and husband Allen of Lefors; three son, Mark Connell of Lefors, Randy Eldridge of the home, and Tony Eldridge of Hobbs, New Mexico; his mother, Geraldine Connell, who died later the same day; eight grandchildren, one great grandson, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Malcolm was also preceded in death by his father, Elwood Connell; and a brother, Carl Connell. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Lefors.
