Victor Lopez, 76, of Pampa, died May 27, 2016 in Pampa. Vigil will be at 4:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Father Roy Kafula, officiating. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, with Father Francisco Perez, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Lopez was born August 26, 1939 in el Palmarito Nuevo Leon Mexico to Maria Gonzalez Lopez and Luis Lopez. He worked as a police officer and the municipal court in Mexico for twenty years. He moved to Memphis, Texas in 1985, where he was a farmer. He’s been a resident of Gray County since 2006. Survivors include his wife, Elida Lopez-Pecina of the home; 15 children, Victor Lopez, Jr., Silvia Sanchez, Anita Vaquera, Jose Alberto Lopez, Elida Adame, Maria Ramon, Mario Lopez, Jose Victor Lopez, Elizabeth Hollan, Cintia Nava, Graciela Rivera, Rosario Lopez, all of Pampa, Artemio Lopez of Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico, Leobardo Lopez of Kansas City, Kansas, and Toribia Galvan of Corpus Christi; 47 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, a brother, Fransisco Lopez; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
