Margaret then moved to Hitchin, England to work at a day care center as a program planner, classroom teacher, and school treasurer. She worked at many of the area hospitals, nursing homes and home health institutions in Borger and Pampa, and taught nursing at Frank Phillips College in Borger for many years. Margaret was well known for her ambition to help others. She was a giver, whether it was food to get you by, or gifts for the less fortunate around the holidays. She loved to teach others and it was important for her pass along her knowledge. All she asked in return was to pay it forward when you were able. Some of Margaret’s favorite things to do included bargain shopping at yard sales and thrift stores, gardening, spending time alone reading a good book, watching golf and an occasional casino visit. She was preceded in death by her parents and good friend Jenny Slater. Survivors include her three sons, Neil Scott Mason, Marc Allen Mason, and Ryan James Mason; two grandchildren, Raeden Scott Mason and McKenna Loraine Simmons; a sister, Frances; close friends, Terri and June; along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
