Floyd “ Randy” Shipp, 56, of Pampa, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Shipp was born in Rotan on March 29, 1960 to Floyd Winfred and Barbara Shipp. As a young boy his family moved to Snyder where he attended schools and graduated from Snyder High School from the class of 78’. Later he enrolled at the Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches and graduated with a degree in Business Management. He later met and married Diane Childs in Estes Park, Colorado on August 20, 1990 and they would spend several great years together. Sometime later in 2015 he took a job with WadeCo Specialties and moved to Pampa. He and his son, Austin, were huge football fans and they spent a lot of time together watching Randy’s favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Randy was an amazing people person, he never ever met a stranger and always made friends wherever he was. Randy shared the same love for animals as he did for people. He would take in any stray that would come up. He had a heart for everyone and everything. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Randy will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Diane Shipp of the home; two sons, Floyd Hunterman Shipp of Dallas and Austin Shipp of the home; his daughter, Kristin Schooler and husband Scott of Castle Rock, Colorado; two granddaughters, Taylor Faith Craig of Castle Rock, Colorado and Ember Aurora Shipp of Odessa; his parents, Floyd Winfred and Barbara Shipp of May; a sister, Celissa Shipp of May. Randy was preceded in death by both his paternal and maternal grandparents. Randy’s body will be available for viewing from 8:30 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the funeral home.
