Terry Elaine Searl

Terry Elaine Searl, 65, of Pampa, died July 2, 2016 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 8, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Rob Wisdom, associate pastor of Christ Community Church in Adkins, and Keith Feerer, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Searl was born November 8, 1950 in Amarillo to Jack and Leona Vinson. She was a 1969 graduate of Dalhart High School. She married Danny Searl on June 26, 1970 in Pampa. Terry lived in Miami for 15 years before moving to Pampa in 1987. She was an avid reader, loved to fish, and her home was the gathering spot for the local kids. She was a member of the Lord’s Church, serving in ministries in numerous area churches. She currently attended First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Danny Searl of the home; a son, Corey Searl and wife Shara of Pampa; two daughters, Christy McCollum and husband Alan of Pampa and Kerri Bray of Atlanta, Texas; twin granddaughters, Hannah McCollum and Hope McCollum, both of Pampa; two sisters, Cheryl Vinson of Austin and Kelly Richey of Dallas; five brothers, Jeff Vinson of Borger, Scott Vinson of Pampa, Tracy Vinson and Jimmy Vinson, both of Austin, and David Vinson of Seabrook; and three uncles, Lowell Vinson and wife Jackie and Don Vinson and wife Eileen, all of Dalhart, and Larry Vinson and wife Patsy of Dumas. Terry was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, Karla Cho, Julie Dean Vinson, Henry Allen Vinson and Steve Vinson. Memorials may be made to Harvest House, 736 S. Cuyler, Pampa, Texas 79065; or Frost Street Mission, 600 Frost Street, Pampa, Texas 79065. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
