V. Lynn Bezner

V. Lynn Bezner, 73, of Pampa, died July 26, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Bezner was born February 9, 1943 in Amarillo, and was a 1961 graduate of Palo Duro High School. He worked for Jimmy Nail Land Surveying. Lynn married Freda Hoff on August 31, 1963 in Amarillo. In 1975, he moved with his family to Midland to work for Topographic Land Surveying. In 1982, he was transferred to Pampa to manage the local office. He retired on December 31, 2010, but continued to do contract work at Topographic. His last day in the office was July 15, 2016. Lynn enjoyed traveling, and he and Freda traveled often in their RV. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus Council # 2767. Survivors include his wife, Freda Bezner of the home; two sons, Bobby Bezner of Brenham, and Tracy Bezner of Columbia, Missouri; four brothers, Lanny Bezner of Dalhart, Jerry Bezner of Edmond, Oklahoma, Frank Bezner of Bushland, and Mike Bezner of Meadows Place; a sister, Barbara Nichols of Dallas; and four grandchildren, Jonna Bezner, Mikayla Bezner and Zachary Bezner, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Elyssa Bezner of Kansas City, Missouri. Lynn was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Bezner in 1993.
