Ronnie Eric “Big Ron” Hill, 56, of Pampa, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 in Pampa. Vigil will be 6:30 Friday, July 29, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with John Curry, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Ronnie was born September 14, 1959 in Caney, Kansas, to Bob and Carmanita Hill. He was a Pampa High School graduate. Ronnie shared 27 years with his wife, Tammy Hill. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a hard and dedicated worker with an outstanding work ethic. He worked for Celanese, National Oilwell Varco, and Cabot. In his youth, Ronnie was a well-known bull rider. He enjoyed watching PBR with his father-in-law, Joe Biggers. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing (often with his grandchildren,) boating and camping. He loved to cook. He was a skilled craftsman, creating a comfortable country home for his family. Ronnie was always able to make his family laugh. He would even sing a song to his grandchildren. And he loved Jesus. Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother and father, Carmanita and Bob Hill; a sister, Robin Hill Mazanares, and a brother Raymond Hill. Survivors include his wife, Tammy Hill of the home; three children, Riordan Hill, Shannon Burney and wife Kori, and Brandi Curry and husband Stewart; six grandchildren, Raylynn Hill, Chacelyn Hill, Allie Burney, Bryson Long, Tatum Long, and Cambre Curry; five sisters, Rhonda Hill, Renita Logan and husband Greg, Richelle Pierce and husband Billy, Rhea Oeser and husband Jared, and Rene Hill; four brothers, Randy Hill and wife Aubrey, Robbie Hill, Richie Hill and wife Rachel, and Bruce Norris; daughter-in-law, Shayna Kirkland; two brothers-i-law, Randy Best and Joe Mazanares; father-in-law, Joe Biggers; mother-in-law, Jerry Evans; many nieces and nephews, including Brooke Best and Dillon Best; and numerous aunts and uncles.
