Mike Evans

Mike Evans, 55, of Amarillo, died August 10, 2016 in Potter County. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Highland Baptist Church in Pampa, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Evans was born April 3, 1961 in Pampa, and was a 1979 graduate of Pampa High School. He married Sherri Stewart on December 31, 1986 in McLean. Mike was a safety coordinator at Mundy and Xcel Energy for over 25 years. Other than his family, his passion was designing and building metal art. He loved classic cars and riding his Harley. Mike loved the Lord and was appreciative of the blessings he received. When he lived in Pampa, he attended Highland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sherri Evans of the home; a daughter, Shayna Miller of Edmond, Oklahoma; a brother, Greg Evans and wife Tammie of Rock Port; and a sister, Leslie Thomas and husband Ray of Amarillo.
