June Elizabeth Lidy

June Elizabeth Lidy, 82, of Pampa, died September 17, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 24, 2016, at the Open Door Church of God in Christ, with Rev. Hubert Kelly, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Lidy was born July 13, 1934 in Lelia Lake. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1956. She married Nelley Lidy, Jr. on December 17, 1967 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1997. June was a homemaker and a member of the Open Door Church of God in Christ. Survivors include three sons, Chester T. Wallace and wife Sharron of Houston, Charles Drew and wife Julia of Des Moines, Iowa, and Steve Lofton of Pampa; five daughters, Jo Ann Stevenson and husband David of Mesquite, Shirley Irving of Dallas, Lydia “Linda” Drew and Maxine Lofton and husband Richard LeCrone, all of Amarillo, and Tanya Lidy of Richardson; a sister, Joyce Ransom of Liberal, Kansas; a brother, Willie D. Mills and wife Connie of Pampa; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a niece, Nasha Hill of Pampa; and three special friends, Judy Dehls, Maudine Parker and Becky Parker, all of Pampa. June was preceded in death by a son, Ed Drew; three sisters and three brothers.
