Richard Lee Williams, 60, of Pampa, died October 8, 2016 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2016, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Phill Conner, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Williams was born March 25, 1956 in Wichita Falls. He grew up in Skellytown and attended school in White Deer where he played football. Richard worked in the oilfield as a young man and later worked as a truck driver for Sem Crude. He had been a resident of Pampa for the past ten years. Richard loved music and the Dallas Cowboys, but his heart belonged to his precious grandbabies, and his Princess and his Bucko. Survivors include his daughter, Rachel Jo Ann Conner of Pampa; his son, Richard William Conner and wife Elise of Fort Worth; his mother, Mable Ruth of Pampa; two grandchildren, Sunli Soto and Hendrix Gunner Soto, both of Pampa; two brothers, Gary Metz and wife Terry of Crowley, and Randy Ruth and wife Marcy of Skellytown; three sisters, Bobbie Jo Fox, Margaret Fox of Pampa, and Susie Hennessey of Skellytown; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Jim Ruth; an uncle, George Holloway; and his best friend and favorite dog, Freddy.
