Marjorie Ruth Lee, 89, of Pampa, passed away, Saturday, October 15, 2016. Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Bill Turner of Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Marjorie Lee was born December 3rd 1926 in Hemet, California. She married Lawrence Lee, a decorated WWII Veteran, on July 10th 1948 in Clarendon Texas. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2012. She has been a resident of Pampa since 1950. She was a homemaker first but worked in retail and as a cafeteria cook for many years in the Pampa ISD. She was a member of the Kentucky Avenue Church of Christ. Marjorie was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Havenhill, a brother. Chester Golightly, and a granddaughter, Charla Scott. Visitation will begin Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 8:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Survivors include a daughter, Sherrell Scott of Albuquerque, New Mexico; a son, Cary Lee of Gypsum, Colorado; two brothers, Willie Golightly of Stephenville, Texas and BF Golightly of Bethany, Oklahoma; a sister, Hazel Gantz of San Antonio, Texas; Four grandchildren Kyle, Mark, Lisa, Brandon and six great-grandchildren Ellen, John, Britten, Brock, Clara, and Declan.
