Twylia Marjorie “Margie” Sublett, 91, of Pampa, died October 27, 2016 in Pampa. There will be no local services. There will be a family spreading of Margie’s ashes at a later date in South Fork, Colorado, where Bill Sublett’s ashes were also spread. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Margie was born November 8, 1924 in Ravanna, Missouri to Lucille and Cecil Smyth. She had two younger brothers, Kenneth Smyth and Cecil Earl Smyth, Jr. Her growing up years were spent in northwestern Missouri before the family moved to the San Diego area of California. In Margie’s first marriage, she lost a beautiful baby girl named Gloria. Then she met Bill Sublett while he was in the Navy, and married him on October 6, 1945. They had one child, Mike Sublett, in December of 1949. Margie’s happiest years were always in Pampa, beginning in 1952. The Subletts were members of Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ from 1955 until they moved to Louisina in 1970. Margie and Bill spent over 20 years in Louisiana before moving to Runaway Bay, Texas in the late 1980’s. They were married 64 years before Bill passed away on August 30, 2010. Margie moved back to Pampa in 1998 where she lived up until the time of her death. Survivors include her son, Mike Sublett and wife Shari of Pampa; three grandchildren, Christina Mearse and husband Adam of Bolingbrook, Illinois, Jeff Sublett and wife Kim of Miami, Florida, and Chad Sublett and wife Kassy of North Pole, Alaska; and seven great grandchildren, Zachary Mearse, Elizabeth Mearse, Jackson Mearse, Lily Sublett, Conner Sublett, Leesy Sublett and Neal Sublett.
