Sherry Elaine Reeves, 68, of South Fork, Colorado, died October 27, 2016 in Amarillo. Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 4, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, Texas, with Frankie Lemons, elder at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Cremation will follow the services under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Reeves was born February 28, 1948 in Wellington, Texas, to James (Dewey) and Dorothy Barker. She was reared in the Wellington area, graduating from Wellington High School. Sherry spent most of her time raising her children and worked as a secretary for various businesses, including Bruce & Sons. She married the love of her life Thomas Reeves on April 20, 1977 in Pampa. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her faith was very important to her. Sherry loved the outdoors where she enjoyed fishing and boating. She enjoyed cooking (world’s best cook), sewing, shopping (a lot) and dancing. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and her grace and kindness will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, James (Dewey) and Dorothy; a brother, James Lannie; and three grandchildren, Maddisun Elane Martin, Stephan Thomas Keys and Roy Tyler Reeves. Survivors include her husband, Thomas “Butch” Reeves of the home; daughters, Tracy Henderson and husband Brandon of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Landee Martin and husband Jason of Los Angeles, California, Crystal Keys and Michele Duvall, both of Pampa; a son, Troyce Reeves and wife Lorenna of Pampa; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post #1657, Pampa, Texas 79066-1657. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 PM Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
