Betty Anderson, 84, died November 27, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens Mausoleum under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Anderson was born June 24, 1932 in Alva, Oklahoma. She married Andy Anderson on November 5, 1949 in Alva. He preceded her in death in 2000. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1969. Betty worked for Marie Foundation for ten years and after the factory closed, she was a full time homemaker where she had a knack for decorating her home. She loved to camp, fish and work in her garden. Betty loved to country and western dance. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and volunteered at First Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Lamb of Pampa; a son, Mike Anderson and wife Millie of Pampa; a sister, Ramona Muegge and husband Mike of Tonkawa, Oklahoma; two brothers, Leonard Harding and wife Verda of Fritch, and Dean Harding and wife Janie of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Jaime Anderson of Spring; two great grandchildren, Ashlee Rowell of Amarillo and Austen Rowell of Lubbock; and a special friend, Joe Cox and family. Betty was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth “Rae” Turner in 1987; and a granddaughter, Kim Rowell on September 12, 2014.
