Carl Mynear, 83, of White Deer, passed away on December 3, 2016 in Pampa. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of White Deer, with Brother Alan Wilson, officiating. Burial will follow in the White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael- Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Carl was born on November 4, 1933 in Optimo, New Mexico. As a young boy his family moved to Skellytown where he would attend school and in White Deer. He would eventually meet and marry his best friend Nell Hurst. Carl worked in the Oil & Gas industry where he was employed at the Texas Company which would late become Texaco for 40 years, retiring in 1996. Carl was a community minded man who served on several local boards; he sat on the school board and helped coach little league baseball. Carl had a big heart and never met a stranger and he always offered help to those who were in need. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Survivors include his wife, Nell Mynear of the home; three daughters, Kandy Bolding and husband Tim of Midland, Patti Parks and companion Tad Etheredge of White Deer and Kim O’Connell of San Angelo; a brother, Clifford Mynear; three grandsons, Robert Walker and wife Nichole of Germany, Brandon Bolding of Midland and Chase Mynear of White Deer; two granddaughters, Jackie Long of San Angelo and Jeni Wolfe and husband Zach of Pampa; and eight great-grandchildren, Caynden, Paisley, Brandon, Logan, Reyna,Colin, Emma, and Justin. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lura Mynear; a sister, Ellen Kries, and by a daughter, Carla Mynear. Memorials can be made to the White Deer Volunteer EMS, 309 E 2nd, White Deer, TX and White Deer Little League.
