Lazaro Garcia Perez

Lazaro Garcia Perez, 64, of Pampa, died December 14, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, December 16, 2016, at Iglesia Casa Del Alfarero, with Pastor Augustin Vasquez, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Perez was born March 28, 1952 in Cuidad, Juarez, Mexico. He married Victoria Lopez in 1972 in Cuidad, Juarez. He moved to El Paso in 1982 where he was a boot maker for Tony Lama for 15 years. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1999, working as an operator for Gorman and Phillips. Lazaro took pride in maintaining his home and loved playing with his grandchildren. He was a member of Iglesia Casa Del Alfarero. Survivors include his wife, Victoria Perez of the home; two daughters, Gabby Sifuentes and husband Victor of Pampa, and Vicky Resendez and husband Mario of El Paso; a son, Marine Sgt. Daniel Perez and wife Raquel, serving his third tour in Afghanistan; his mother, Maria Perez of El Paso; six grandchildren, Samantha Munoz and Crystal Ruiz, both of Pampa, Air Force Airman First Class Junior Resendez of Alaska, Eric Resendez and Jacob Resendez, both of El Paso, and Danielle Perez of California; five great grandchildren, Josiah Cabrales, Sophia Cabrales, Robert Angelo Cabrales, Evalyna Rose Dorsey and Lazaro Dorsey, all of Pampa; three brothers and four sisters.
