Edy Gayle Thompson, 53, of Pampa, died December 22, 2016 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, 27, 2016, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Steve Huckins of In the Garden Ministries of Skellytown, officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Edy was born September 4, 1963 in Perryton. Her father was a minister, so her family moved a lot in order to spread the Gospel. Edy moved to Pampa in 2011 and she was a homemaker. She was a simple lady who never asked for much, but gave a lot in helping to care for her mother and others. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Survivors include two daughters, Shanon Thompson of California, and Alexis Eagle of Pampa; her mother, Ruth Jinkins of Pampa; a sister, Dotty Wolf of Pampa; three grandsons, Davey Fuentes of Amarillo, Salem Allison of Pampa, and D. J. Thompson; an aunt, Margot Jinkins of Germany; four cousins, Shanty Jinkins, Jr. and wife Babbet, Charles Jinkins, Emory Jinkins, and Gerhardt Jinkins, all of Dumas; a nephew, Chris Patterson and wife Joleen of Crestview, Florida; and a niece, Mindy Taylor and husband Allen of Neosho, Missouri. Edy was preceded in death by her father, Eddy Jinkins; a brother, Spencer Jinkins; her twin sister, Shana Gay Jinkins; grandparents, E. J. and Dorothy Jinkins and Spencer and Carol Whippo; and an uncle, Shanty Jinkins, Sr. Edy will lie in state at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2016.
