Harry Grant Cambern, 75, of Amarillo, died December 23, 2016 in Amarillo. Private family services will be at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Grant was born December 4, 1941 in Pampa to Donley Dane and Joyce Womble Cambern. He worked for Cabot Corporation for 25 years before becoming self-employed as an oil and gas production consultant in the U.S. and overseas. Grant will be remembered for his wit and love for his family and friends, his love for his nieces and nephews, and loved being a special friend to Braelee, Micah, Mitch, Sam, and Dom. Grant was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Melissa Shanon Cambern and Cheryl Louise Cambern; a son, Matthew Grant Cambern; a stepson, Doug Auwen. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Pauline Cambern of Amarillo; his very special daughter, Joanna Brooke Cambern Varela of Howardwick; two sisters, Cindy Harris and husband Rick of Pampa and Sharon Martindale and husband David of Cypress; a brother, Kenny Cambern and wife Judy of Pampa; sister-in-law, Rhonda Cambern of Beaumont; many nieces and nephews especially, Claire, June, Mack, Earl, and Dane; two special nieces, Ashley and Blythe; and a special nephew, Taylor. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pate and his nurses, Bruce and Susan; Dr. Forero and his staff for all of their loving care and concern for the family. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial to a favorite charity.
