Billy Dean Riley, 71, of Pampa, died December 28, 2016 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Briarwood Church, with Rev. Greg Spears, pastor of Milam County Cowboy Church, and Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor of United Methodist Church in McLean, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Riley was born May 23, 1945 in Grassland. He married Shelia Gandy on February 8, 1966 in Tahoka. She preceded him in death on January 16, 2001. He had been a resident of Pampa since 2002, moving from Alanreed. Billy was a self-employed cotton farmer, rancher, oil and gas operator, bank owner, car dealer, electrician and feed lot owner. He was a member of the NRA, Borger Elk Lodge, Pampa Senior Citizens, and a former member of First Assembly of God in Stinnett. Billy supported the Republican National Committee. Survivors include two daughters, Stacy Phillips and Maury Wills and Misty Hood and husband Steve, all of Pampa; his companion, Jeanne Townson of Pampa; two brothers, Donald Riley of Post and Royce “Mac” McDonald of Borger; a sister, Pauline Hamm of Post; mother-in-law, Patty Gandy of Tahoka; stepson, Mike Townson and wife Amy; nine grandchildren and a great grandson. Billy was also preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Joyce Stice Riley; and ten brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 2217 Perryton Parkway, Pampa, Texas 79065.
