Connie Fry

Connie Fry, 85, of Pampa, died January 18, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Tim Roberts, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Fry was born November 24, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. She was a 1948 graduate of Borger High School. She married Gaylord Fry on April 4, 1948 in Borger. He preceded her in death on February 28, 1966. Connie had been a resident of Pampa since 1954. She worked at Zales Jewelry in Amarillo for several years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include four daughters, Vicki Vandiver and husband Bert of Greenville, Nicki Gittemeier and husband Chick and Tammi Fry, all of Pampa, and Terri Wakefield and husband Mark of Spring; seven grandchildren, Stacy, Jessica, Jeffery, Gaylon, Sarah, Ben and Tyler; and 11 great grandchildren. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, B. C. and Jackie Bennett; and a sister, Ingrid Edwards.
