Irene Jimenez, 67 of Pampa, died January 31, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 3, 2017, at Nueva Vida Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Jimenez was born February 17, 1949 in Zacatecas, Mexico. She was raised in Mexico, living there most of her young life. She and her husband moved to the U. S. in 1976. She was a homemaker who stayed home to care for her children and family. Irene was a member of Nueva Vida Church. She was a generous and compassionate lady who put others before herself. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Evaristo Jimenez of the home; a son, Evaristo Jimenez, Jr. and wife Yesenia of Pampa; two daughters: Catarina Jimenez of Amarillo and Carmina Bencomo and husband Benito of Sunray; five sisters, Antonia Gomez and husband Hilario of El Paso, Gloria Flores and husband Jesus of Tornillo, Olga Barrera of Fabens, Alma Chavez and husband Victor of Juarez, Mexico, and Carmen Hernandez of Pampa; four grandsons, Valentine Calsadillaz, Jr. and Anthony Bencomo, both of Sunray, and Ismael Hernandez and Amaliel Hernandez, both of Pampa; two granddaughters, Thaimy Calsadillaz of Dumas and Yobanca Bencomo of Sunray; a great grandson, Samuel Matthew Tinney of Dumas; a great granddaughter, Olivia Tinney of Dumas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
