Juanita Kathleen Berry

November 16, 1942 — February 25, 2017

Juanita Kathleen Berry, 74, of Pampa, died February 25, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 2, 2017, at New Life Assembly of God with Rev. Sergio Urrutia, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Kathleen was born on November 16, 1942 in Dumas and grew up and attended school in Borger. In Borger, Kathleen met and married her high school sweetheart, Ernest Berry. Although she worked briefly outside her home, Kathleen spent most of her time as a devoted wife to Ernest, a loving mother to her children, and as a grandmother and great grandmother to the next generations of the Berry family. Kathleen was active in church activities, particularly enjoying serving as a Sunday school and children’s church teacher. Kathleen is survived by her children, Karla Berry, Sherry Cox and Ronnie Berry; and her siblings, Johnita Franklin, Verita Jackson, and Sammy Eason. She was a beloved grandmother and great grandmother to Michelle Shedd, Jennifer Petroski, Jonathan Cox, Riley Berry, Ashton, Christopher, and Harper Shedd and Madison Petroski. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest; and a son, Donnie Berry. Although her family will mourn their loss, they are comforted at the thought of her reunion with Ernest and Donnie. The family offers special gratitude to Patsy Young and Renee Nichols for their loving care of Kathleen during her final days. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 PM Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
