William H. “Bill” Boyer, 73, of Pampa, died February 27, 2017 in Amarillo. Services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Corey Searl, pastor of Frost Street Refuge, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Boyer was born August 3, 1943 in Valparaiso, Indiana. He had been a resident of Pampa for the past 14 years, moving from Mesa, Arizona. He was with Laura Norman for 27 years. She preceded him in death on April 10, 2013. Bill was involved in property management for 27 years. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Hawaii, receiving his honorable discharge in 1964. Survivors include three sons, Lynn Boyer and wife Sandy of Arlington, Mike Boyer and wife Mara of Amarillo, and Joel Boyer and wife Christina of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two brothers, Jim Boyer and wife Marcia of Geneseo, Illinois, and Bill Starks of Bloomington, Indiana; five sisters, Judy Meinert of Versailles, Indiana, Nila Pierce of Westville, Illinois, Donna Perry and husband Wayne of Millbrook, Alabama, Alice Polak of Orlando, Florida, and Mary Torrez and husband Andy of Livermore, Colorado; 6 grandchildren, Nicole Boyer, Megan Boyer, Bryan Jones, Wayland Thomas, Dallie Thomas, and Jay Bessire; a stepson, Doug Bessire of Midland; a stepdaughter, Debbie Thomas of Canadian; and his stepmother, Mary Boyer of Wellington, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Boyer and Phillis Nelson.
