Rick F. Lemons, 60, of Pampa, entered into peace on March 9, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Paul Nachtigall of Highland Baptist Church, officiating. Burial and balloon release will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery with military honors courtesy of the U. S. Navy. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Lemons was born April 6, 1956 in Pampa to Alton and Jolene Lemons. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy from 1974-1979 as a molder and fireman on the USS LY Spears, and then as a reservist from 1980-1981. He married Tina Daniels McGrady on April 28, 2000. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Rick worked on the BNSF railroad for many years. He enjoyed fishing, woodwork, playing dominoes, collecting knives, shooting guns, watching Bonanza and Gunsmoke, the WWE, and watching his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Above all, he cherished playing with his grandkids, whether it be playing dolls or trucks. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Alton Lemons; his mother, Jolene Hayes, an uncle, Alfred Lemons; and a granddaughter, Braylee McKenna Harris. Survivors include his wife, Tina Lemons of the home; four sons, Jeremiah Awong and wife Janell of Biloxi, Mississippi, Jason Harris and wife Rhonda, and Eric Lemons, all of Pampa; and Jordan Lemons of Amarillo; a daughter, Callie St. Louis of Pampa; his sister, Pam Ellis of Amarillo; and ten grandchildren, Alexis Awong, Briana Harris, Keegan Lemons-Muns, Madeleine St. Louis, Jaidyn Harris, Dason St. Louis, Langston St. Louis, Cullen St. Louis, Jagger St. Louis and Ryder Lemons. The family offers a heartfelt thank you to the staff Interim Hospice especially his CNA Stephanie who always brought a smile to his face and made him laugh. Also, thanks to the wonderful nurses and CNA’s of the Thomas E. Creek Veterans Administration Hospital, especially Liz, who went above and beyond.
