Ralph Tice, 75, of Skellytown, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Amarillo. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Skellytown, with Rev. Carter Pirtle, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Tice was born December 12, 1941 in Pampa where he was a Pampa High School graduate. He married Barbara Chandler on November 27, 1965 in Plainview. Ralph worked for W.O. Operating as a pumper for 27 years, retiring in 2015. Ralph was currently serving as Mayor of the City of Skellytown, where he also served as City Council member. He was a member of the Skellytown Volunteer Fire Department & Ambulance Service for 30-plus years. Ralph was a little league coach, and he supported the local FFA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, was a loving husband, father, and granddad, and a loving friend to all. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, David and Minnie Tice; three brothers, Woodrow Tice, Bennie George Tice and Milton Roy Tice; and four sisters, Pauline Ware, Lorene Tice, Alice Hassler and Gladys Griffin. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; four sons, Kent Tice of Borger, Keith Tice and wife Nicki of Anthem, Arizona, Ed Tice and wife Emily of Story City, Iowa, and Brandon Tice and wife Deidre of Stinnett; eight grandchildren, Taylor Brown, Kyler Tice, Karson Tice, Kinley Tice, Reilly Tice, Addison Tice, Hannah Tice and Mason Tice; a great-granddaughter, Blakely Brown; and a host of nieces and nephews who he loved very much.
