Erma Lucille Love Merilatt, 91, of Pampa, passed away April 8, 2017 in Pampa, Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 14, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Ruby Moultrie, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Merilatt was born March 10, 1926 in Ellis County, Oklahoma to Fern B. and Ruthie Alice Love. She was a graduate of Arnett High School in Arnett, Oklahoma. She married John A. Merilatt on June 27, 1945 in Enid, Oklahoma. Lucille worked in the Ellis County Tax Assessor-Collector’s office until she moved to Pampa in 1960, where she worked for Cabot Corp. for 30 years until she retired. Lucille was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for more than 25 years, and received the Outstanding State Member award. She was a member of Altrusa International and the 21st Century Study Club. She volunteered for Gray Cares and Pampa Meals on Wheels. Lucille was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Johnny G. Merilatt; her sister, Thelma Crouch; and her brothers, Len Love, Roy Love, and Austin Love. Survivors include six nieces, Carol Gatlin and Phyllis Wunnenberg and husband Darwin, all of Phoenix, Arizona, Mary Kennedy and husband John F. of Odessa, Pat Arnbrecht of Woodward, Oklahoma, Fern Evans and Virginia Baros, both of Amarillo; a nephew, Ronald Love and wife Marva of Roseville, California.
