Coetta Joy "Jackie" Coble

Coetta Joy “Jackie” Coble, 83, of Pampa, passed away April 11, 2017 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Monday, April 17, 2017, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Keith Feerer, minister of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Jackie was born June 13, 1933 in Hollis, Oklahoma. She married Orville Lee Coble, Jr. on December 17, 1950 in Hollis, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2002. They were married 51 years, 8 months and 16 days; he was the love of her life. Jackie was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ since 1953 where she taught Sunday school and prepared funeral meals for many years. She worked for Gibson's Discount Center for 16 years, retiring to spend time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Freida Walker and husband Terry of Amarillo; two grandsons, Brandon Niccum and wife Melissa of Amarillo, and Shad Walker and wife Debbie of Elk Grove, California; four great grandchildren, Adriann, Slayton and Halston of Amarillo, and Skylynne of Elk Grove; three sisters, Bonnie Brazil and Vonzelle Wyatt, both of Pampa, and Brucie Gallett and husband Charles of Ardmore, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, George "Bruce" and Mary Alice DeFoor; a brother, Bennie J. DeFoor; and two sisters, Dixie Feazel and her twin Loetta "Jill" McAllister. The family wishes to thank Ross Bullard, Barbara Davis and Stephanie Lynch of Interim Hospice for their loving care and support.
