Valinda June Huffhines Adams, 52, of Coal Hill, Arkansas and formerly of Pampa, Texas, went to be with Jesus on April 15, 2017 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, April 21, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, Texas, with Rev. Bob Epperson, family friend, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa Valinda was born March 23, 1965 in West Covina, California, to Tommy and Kathy Huffhines. She married Gary Adams, the love of her life, on August 24, 1991. She moved from Houston, Texas to Pampa in 1977, and was a 1984 graduate of Pampa High School. Valinda, like her family, was a long time member of Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Pampa, before moving to Georgia, New Mexico and then finally settling in Arkansas a year ago. She was full of love and joy for life. She had a way of making everyone feel they were a member of the family. Her love of family, God, and cooking are just a few things she will be remembered for. To all who knew her, know she loved you. Valinda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Tom & Kathy Huffhines; and a brother Terry. Left to carry on is her husband of 25 years, Gary Adams of Coal Hill, Arkansas; three children, Amber Adams of Larned Kansas, Diane Adams and Nathanial Adams, both of Coal Hill, Arkansas; two sisters/best friends, oldest of the "three V's" is Vanessia Vick and husband Eddie of Clarksville, Arkansas, and little sister, Valorey Foreman and husband David of Pampa, Texas. Her close and loving family also includes, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews: Misty and Daniel Hatfield, Heather and Joseph White, Michael, Matthew and Benji Foreman, Macey and Garrett Hatfield, Abbie White, and Bentley Foreman; and four sisters-in-law, Betty McMullen and husband Richard of Denison, Kansas, Juanita Ditch and husband Steve Sr. of Topeka, Kansas, Shirley Smith of Topeka, Kansas, and Sandra Lambertson and husband David of Baxter, Iowa.
