Estelle Mary Montgomery

Estelle Mary Montgomery 92, of Marble Falls, and formerly of Pampa, passed away April 29, 2017 in Marble Falls.  Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Estelle was born on October 28, 1924 in Allison to A.B. and Velma Evans. She was reared and attended schools in Allison. She married Kenneth “Skip” Montgomery on June 5, 1942 and in the same year they moved to Pampa. Kenneth preceded her in death on October 12, 2005. Estelle would later go to work for the Pampa Independent School District driving a school bus for over 37 years before she retired. She loved her job and all the children she helped transport throughout the years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. In 2010 Estelle moved to Marble Falls to be closer to her daughter. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her daughter Vicky Hutton and her husband Gary of Marble Falls. Estelle was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and seven brothers. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Home.
