Robert Earl "Bobby" Howard

Robert Earl “Bobby” Howard, 88, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017, in Pampa.  Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Darrouzett Cemetery with Mr. Ralph Mireles, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mr. Howard was born February 4, 1929 in Logan, Oklahoma. He married Peggie Travis on June 21, 1950 in Logan. Bobby was a resident of Pampa for 12 years moving from Darrouzett. He worked for the Darrouzett Lumber Yard and Follett Lumber for over 25 years retiring as manager. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Lila Howard, a daughter, Leanna Kay Howard on April 3, 1997, three brothers, Roy Howard, Melvin Howard and Delvin Howard. Survivors include his wife, Peggie Howard of the home, a daughter, Janet Giles and husband Steve of Pampa, a son, Randy Howard and wife Shirley of Perryton, a sister, Vesta Roach of Booker, two brothers, Bill Howard and wife Dorothy of Shattuck, Oklahoma and Alvin Howard and wife Trudy of Chickasha, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Cole, Chadd, Aaron, Cali and Ryan, and 10 great grandchildren. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
