Joe David Richardson, 61, of Groom, died May 6, 2017 in Groom.Graveside services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at the Jericho Cemetery, with Mr. Terry Wheeler and Mr. Tom Schooler, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.Mr. Richardson was born January 28, 1956 in Canadian. He married Jody Freeman on January 16, 1976, and she preceded him in death on October 30, 2014. Joe was a lifelong cowboy, living and raised on a ranch. He had been a lifelong resident of the Pampa and Groom areas. Joe worked as a pipeline inspector.Survivors include his wife, Jeanie Stubbs of the home; a son, Joe Rae Richardson of Amarillo; two daughters, Julie Britten and Jacey Richardson, both of Groom; a brother, Jim Richardson of Pampa; and four grandchildren, Mallie Williams, Emily Britten, Brent Britten and Callie Richardson.Memorials may be made to the Groom Ambulance Service, 203 Broadway Street, Groom, Texas 79039; or the Gray County Sheriff’s Office, 218 N.
