Milton Ray “Pop” Needham, 82, of Pampa, died May 14, 2017 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Friday, May 19, 2017, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Needham was born April 12, 1935 in Wentworth, Missouri. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in France and the Panama Canal from 1954 until 1962. He was a cook at the Officers Club at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and President Harry Truman told him it was the best steak he had ever eaten. He married Antoinette “Toni” Constantin on April 12, 1956 in France. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1977, moving from Missouri. Later, he was an oilfield and construction worker. Ray was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed country music, fishing, playing his guitar, and singing karaoke with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Antoinette “Toni” Needham of the home; two sons, Jack Needham and wife Karla, and Terry Needham and Chrissy Dees, all of Pampa; two daughters, Carol Clark and husband Kim of Saginaw, and Cindy Griffith and husband Mike of Pampa; a brother, Duane Needham and wife Lois of Missouri; a sister, Barbara Foster of Missouri; sister-in-law, Judy Needham of Missouri; 14 grandchildren, Shawn, Ashley, Jeff, Jason, Chad, Michael, Windy, Jessica, Brendon, Kevin, Shelby, Blaine, Kendra and Alyssa; 18 great grandchildren, Harley, Elizabeth, Daniel, Lucas, Daisie, Braeden, Blake, Eli, Vera, Carly, Kinley, Rylee, Sierra, Jacob, Jasmyne, Alayah, Ellie and Ashton; and special friends, Pat and Nita Aderholt and Sammy and Julie Clifton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Edith Needham; two sisters, Ivohn Tidwell McCaw and Mary Anna Geiser; a brother, Gene Needham; a great granddaughter, Hope Spring; and a great grandson, Boston Shon.
