Evaristo V. Jimenez, 63, of Pampa, passed away May 14, 2017 in Amarillo. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, May 19, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Willy Jaramillo, pastor of Iglesia Bautista Emanuel, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Jimenez was born October 26, 1953 in Jimenez, Chihuahua, Mexico where he was raised. He married Irene Hernandez in 1974 in Mexico. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2017. He and his family moved to the U. S. in 1976. Evaristo worked as a rig operator for many years, and later worked as a truck driver. He attended Nueva Vida Church. Evaristo was a loving family man who extended his love to all his family, and he was a good friend to many as well. He loved to fish. Survivors include his son, Evaristo Jimenez, Jr. and wife Yesenia of Pampa; two daughters, Catarina Jimenez of Amarillo and Carmina Bencomo and husband Benito of Sunray; his mother, Carmen Jimenez of Fabens; four grandsons, Valentine Calsadillaz, Jr. and Anthony Bencomo, both of Sunray, Ismael Hernandez and Amaliel Hernandez, both of Pampa; two granddaughters, Thaimy Calsadillaz of Dumas, and Yobanca Bencomo of Sunray; a great grandson, Samuel Matthew Tinney of Dumas; a great granddaughter, Olivia Tinney of Dumas; five sisters, Julieta Guerrero of Gallup, New Mexico , Carmen Alarcon of Caseta, Mexico, Natividad Bravo of El Paso , Lucinda Pinea of Caseta, Mexico, and Pilar Regalado of Pampa; and two brothers, Jesus Jimenez of El Paso, and Lupe Jimenez of Gallup, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Jimenez in 1997; and his wife, Irene Jimenez on January 31, 2017.
