Mattie Magdalene Ivey, 86, of Pampa, died May 24, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 4:00 PM Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Jeremy Buck, pastor of Redeemer Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Ivey was born October 3, 1930, 12 miles southwest of Clarendon. She married Wayne Ivey on November 10, 1948. They had been residents of Pampa since 1953. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2009. Mattie attended CrossPointe Church and in the last few months, she attended Redeemer Pampa. She was the secretary for The Salvation Army for 15 years, retiring in 1993. Survivors include four sons, Tom Ivey and wife Carla and Gary Ivey and wife Stephanie, all of Amarillo, David Ivey and wife Peggy and James Ivey and wife Kim, all of Pampa; a sister, Annie Aufill of Pampa; six grandchildren, Richie Ivey, Rocky Ivey, Misty Auwen and husband David, and Kera Johnson and husband Bryan, all Pampa, McKenzie Ivey and John Thomas Ivey, both of Amarillo; three great grandchildren, Destini Ivey, Christian Ivey and Konnor Johnson. Mattie was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Phillip Ivey and Jason Ivey, both in 1988.
