Annas Florene Seitz

Annas Florene Seitz, 91, of Pampa, died May 26, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM in Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Seitz was born November 21, 1925 in Wheeler County. She grew up in the Wheeler and Mobeetie areas. When she was 11, she was baptized on the Britt Ranch. Annas was a graduate of Mobeetie High School. She married Loy Seitz on December 24, 1943 while Loy was on leave during World War II. He preceded her in death in 1972. Annas was a homemaker and active in the Mobeetie community before moving to Pampa. She was a longtime and active member of Central Baptist Church for 44 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Survivors include a daughter, Betty Chapman and husband John of Pampa; a sister, Vondell Martin and husband Roger Drummond of Boulder, Colorado; two granddaughters, Shannon Seitz Wheat and husband Jamie of Amarillo, and Melissa Chapman Smith and husband Brady of Booker; a grandson, Justin Chapman of Amarillo; a great grandson, Emerson Wheat of Amarillo; and a niece, Tye Martin of Longmont, Colorado; a daughter-in-law, Donna Seitz of Amarillo. Annas was also preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Hodges; a brother, Glen Hodges; and a son, Duncan Seitz. Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30 PM Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
