Margot Schoonover, 83, of Pampa, passed away May 26, 2017 in Pampa. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Ben Corbitt, pastor of the United Pentecostal Church, officiating. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Margot was born on August 9, 1933 in Frankfurt, Germany. She later married James Clifford Schoonover, Sr. on August 11, 1955 in Wetzlar, Germany. Shortly later she moved to the United States with her husband in 1956 where they would start their family. He would precede her in death on, March 7, 2015. She was a long time member of the United Pentecostal Church for over 40 years. Margot’s whole life was centered around her church and family and she will be greatly missed. Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Schoonover of Pampa, Terry Schoonover of Ham Lake, Minnesota, and James Schoonover, Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her daughter, Carolyn Lovelady of Pampa; a brother, Henry Kamnick of Ft. Worth; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Margot was preceded by her parents; by 2 sisters, Ingrid Kamnick and Monica Kamnick and by a brother, Folga Kamnick.
