James David Fite, 64, of Pampa, died May 30, 2017 in Pampa. Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 2, 2017, at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.Mr. Fite was born October 6, 1952 in Manchester Township, Arkansas, to Mary and Alvin Fite. He was a 1971 graduate of Amity High School in Amity, Arkansas. James married Mary McLeod on May 5, 2000 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He had been a resident of Pampa since 2010. He worked for Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a corrections officer since 2009. James loved hunting, fishing, stock car races and NASCAR. He enjoyed the Bluegrass Music Festival and was a member of Central Baptist Church. James enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Mary Fite of the home; two daughters, Shelley Fite Flores of Houston, and Amanda Bryant and husband Wes of Aurora, Missouri; two sons, Duston Eli Fite and wife Leslie of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and John Zenkovich and wife Casey of Austin; a sister, Marilyn Fite of Arkadelphia; a brother, Dewayne Fite and wife Cynthia of Arkadelphia; 10 grandchildren, Selena Santana, Christopher Fite, David Bryant, Daniel Bryant, Kendall Zenkovich, John Grady Zenkovich, Alexa Ross, Alana Fite, Diego Flores and Marissa Flores; two great grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
