Gae Robertson

Gae Robertson, 90, of Pampa, died June 22, 2017 in McLean. Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at the Carpenter’s Church, with Rev. Jim Sinyard, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Robertson was born March 19, 1927 in Marion County, Alabama. She married Woodrow Robertson on January 18, 1947 in Winfield, Alabama. He preceded her in death in 1977. Gae moved to Pampa in the early 1950’s, moving to Amarillo in 1965. She attended Draughon’s Business College in 1966 and worked at Amarillo Iron Works as a bookkeeper and secretary, retiring after 15 years of service. She returned to Pampa in 1971. Gae loved to needlepoint and sew, and she also played the piano. She was a member of the Carpenter’s Church. She was preceded in death by two infant daughters; and two brothers, James B. Smith and Bobby Lee Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Cannon of Pampa; her son, Woody Robertson and wife Denise of Montana; a sister, Mary Helen Dubose of El Paso; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and other extended family members.
