Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Friends and family are welcome to join us at 1029 N. Dwight following the service to visit, and celebrate Kelle. BYOB Kelle was born March 10, 1962 to Jim and Romona Staus in Pampa, whom both preceded her in death along with their eldest son, and our oldest brother Harmon. She was raised Catholic and had strong belief in God, family, our country, work ethic, and good times. She started early in her teen years working at The Harvester Pit BBQ for the Braddock’s, and Furr’s Cafeteria for the Mojica’s. After graduating she worked at Arthur Bros. for Celanese. She got to spend some good time with Big Jim while working there (Daddy’s girl). She left home for a while living and working in Austin, and upper state New York. After returning home she got a job with McCarty-Hull in 1998. She got her CDL, and was a delivery driver for them which took her all around the Panhandle and up in to Kansas. In 2003 she was awarded Driver of the Year. Along with that award came a trip to Cabo San Lucas. What a good time that was!!!! After leaving in 2005 she worked in the cafeteria at Stephen F Austin. She enjoyed that job very much. Kelle went to work for Fluid Compressor (Flogistix) in 2006 working in the purchasing dept. until she became ill in 2015. Kelle had a zest for life, and a love to feel the wind on her face. There were a lot of good times to be had down in the “drips” growing up. Many weekends spent at the lake, and a lot of family time spent on vacations, reunions, and yearly Labor Day weekends spent down on Price Ranch. Kelle loved doing crafts, and was very good at it. She was a great cook. She had two very special kitty cats (KC & Callie) that she loved dearly. They gave her much comfort. She loved riding her Harley. Our oldest brother Harmon hung the bell on it the day it was purchased. She was so proud. There were many poker runs, many road trips, and a whole lot of good times with friends, and family. She passed with her sister by her side. Kelle is survived by a brother Jimmy and wife Susie of Lake Charles, La, and a sister Troi Day and husband Rodney of Pampa, Aunt Willie Kisner of Dodge City, Kansas, Aunt Thelma & Uncle Elvin Weakley of El Paso, Aunt Henny Owen of Cheyenne Wells, Colorado, Uncle Elmer & Aunt Donna Burkhart of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Uncle Ervin & Aunt Connie Burkhart of Spearville, Kansas, Aunt Linda Bogert of Gillette, Wyoming, Uncle Tony & Aunt Dorothy Edmondson of San Antonio, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to give a very special thank you to the nurses of BSA Hospice of the Southwest for being here for Kelle, and the family.
