Aderon Jimmy “Jim” Kirkham, 81, of Fritch, passed away on Saturday November 4, 2017 in Fritch. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 10, 2017 at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery in Borger, with Pastor Kyle Ohsfeldt of Grace Baptist Church in Pampa, officiating. Services and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Jim was born on September 9, 1936 in Ada, Oklahoma to Anna Faye Kirkham and Aderon Jake Kirkham. As a young boy, his family moved to Borger where he would attend school and graduate from Borger High School. Shortly after high school, he enrolled in Frank Phillips College. Later he would move to Stratford where he would start raising his family and work for Phillips Petroleum. Jim was a long time employee of Phillips Petroleum, where he retired after 34 years of employment as a field operator. In 1997 he would return to the Borger area where he would reside in Fritch until his passing. Jim proudly served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1955-1962. Mr. Kirkham was an avid gun enthusiast and he was a lifetime member of several gun clubs that included: National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association, and The Lake Meredith Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother William Earnest “Bill” Kirkham and by his grandchild, R.J. Kirkham. Survivors include, his two sons, Bobby Joe Kirkham and wife Katie of Casa Grande, Arizona and James Ray Kirkham and wife Debbie of San Diego, California; his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Ickles and husband Kevin of Conroe; his brother, Donny Kirkham and wife Sue of Nederland; his four grandchildren, Skyler, Kira, Kirsten, and Bryce; and his six great-grandchildren.
