Allan Clark Thompson, 90, a man of tremendous principle, passed away on December 3, 2022, at the Meredith Place in Pampa with his family at his side.
A remembrance ceremony celebrating Clark’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Clark was born on February 29, 1932, in Louisville, Mississippi. At an early age, his family moved to Sunray and lived there several years before moving to Dumas. Clark attended schools in Dumas and graduated from Dumas High School. On May 29, 1954, he married the love of his life, Betty Jean Tweedy, and had two wonderful daughters. The young family moved to Pampa in 1966, joined Barrett Baptist Church (now Cornerstone Baptist Church), and Clark began a 34-year career with Cabot-IRI. Clark was a man who lived his beliefs, placed his wife and daughters first, and steadfastly served the Lord.
Clark is survived by two daughters, Debbie Taylor of Pampa and Shelly Sexton of Bella Vista, Arkansas, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and three siblings.
