Amanda “Mandy “Cunningham, 49, of Amarillo, passed away on April 21, 2024, after a four-year battle with cancer. Mandy passed at home with her loving family by her side.

A celebration of life memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the MORE Church in Amarillo with Clint Shelton, a family friend, eulogizing the service. An inurnment will follow at Llano Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Mandy was born on December 29, 1974, in Amarillo to Clay and Penny Cunningham. She grew up in Amarillo and later graduated from Bible Heritage in 1993. After graduating, Mandy would start her young family. She had three beautiful daughters that were the center of her world from the time they were born until her final days. Mandy’s number one job in life was Mother and she was over the moon when she became a Grandma.

Mandy would share time in both Kansas and Texas. After the girls got older, Mandy worked in various occupations that included working in education and working as an auditor. Mandy was a true Cunningham, raised on the Lord and the Dallas Cowboys. Mandy, like her Grandma Cunningham, was a Cowboy super-fan, win lose or draw, they were “her Cowboys”.  She never missed a game, and she was the life of any game, a true cheerleader. Without a doubt, all her family, especially her grandchildren, were the most special thing in her life.

She will be remembered as a sweet and gentle soul who always put others before herself and remained a classy and dignified woman throughout her cancer journey. Mandy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Penny Draper; a stepfather, Randall “Randy” Draper; grandparents, J. J. and Betty Cunningham, grandparents, R.D. and Reita Draper, and a grandmother, Shirley Hartley.

Her survivors include her three daughters, Tori Smith and significant other Julian Quintana, Kylee Smith and fiancee Antonio Ramos, and Jaycee Smith, all of Amarillo; grandchildren, Brayden Smith, Jeremiah Valenzuela, Kaylee Valenzuela, Alex Ramos, Tony Ramos,, and Kimberly Ramos; father, Clay Cunningham of Amarillo; two sisters, Amber Edwards, and Jaime Stoll and husband Chris, all of Amarillo; nephews, Ryan Edwards, and Phillip “Flip” Edwards and wife Hailey, all of Amarillo: nieces, Christy Stoll, and Makayla Stoll, all of Amarillo; uncle, John Cunningham and wife Karen of Lemoore, CA; and fur-grandbaby, Bentley.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Angie Duncan for being such a special friend in Mandy’s life.
