Anna McAnear, 90, of White Deer passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 in Borger.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Carpenter’s Church with Rev. Jim Sinyard, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
Mrs. McAnear was Born July 23, 1930 in Carbondale, Illinois. Anna married Alfred Dalrymple on May 20, 1950 in Illinois and preceded her in death on December 31, 1973. She worked as a hospital ward clerk in Pasadena for many years. Anna married Ed McAnear on February 14, 1975 in Pasadena. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2014. She moved to White Deer in 1980. Anna owned and operated CEC sales, served as White Deer’s auto license registrar, was a Mary Kay consultant, and had her own bread baking business, famous for her cinnamon rolls and hot rolls. In 2013 she published “Hymns of Our Lord-Original works to Uplift and Lead” a hymnal of 26 hymns with both words and music written by Anna. She was a member at First Baptist Church of White Deer and played the piano at Carpenter’s Church in Pampa.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Layla Byrd, in 2016.
Survivors include two daughters, Pam Earles of White Deer and Linda Kelly of Galveston; a son, Stephen Dalrymple and wife Terri of Sugar Land; two sisters, Ruth Johnson and Phyllis Uphoff and husband Fred, both of Illinois; a brother, Phillip Richardson of Illinois; three grandchildren, Chris Campbell and wife Nikki of Amarillo, Avery Dalrymple of Sugar Land and Donavon Dalrymple of Sugar Land; four great grandchildren, Cheyenne Anderson, Dakota Anderson and wife Blake Brennan Anderson and Hayden Anderson; seven great-great grandchildren.
